With over 30 years of experience in applied psychological research, Dr. Jim Houran is a recognized expert in peak performance, online testing, and organizational compatibility. His award-winning work has been featured by major media outlets, including the Discovery Channel, A&E, BBC, Court TV, NBC’s Today Show, New Scientist, Psychology Today, and Forbes.com.
Dr. Jim specializes in helping businesses with service-driven cultures enhance team alignment, leadership effectiveness, and organizational performance. He provides leadership coaching, team development workshops, executive retreat facilitation, and strategic consulting to improve workplace dynamics and operational success.
He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Benedictine University, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Adelaide. In addition to his consulting work, Dr. Jim serves as adjunct faculty at the Laboratory for Statistics and Computation, ISLA (Portugal) and is an editorial board member for the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly.
